Only three goals scored on Saturday. Conceded one in the second half. Only came away with three points. Edmo out! lol

Top effort from all involved, and a fantastic result that was very much needed. Hoping now that we can push on with the momentum and manage another victory tonight. Gainsborough lost at home 0-1 to lowly Harrogate Town and I'm sure they won't be looking forward to a trip to Borough Park tonight. Let's make the most of it. Come on you Reds.

:?: Is the match subject to a pitch inspection due to the amount of rain over the last 18 hours ?.

I assume it will be this morning if there is one, as Gainsborough will need to know. ?

Either way it will be heavy pitch.

2 nil Green & Arnison 360 crowd :D

I know it's stating the obvious - and I don't want to tempt providence - but there's a lot riding on tonight's game. With Histon and Droylsden without a match and Boston away at Vauxhall, a win could take us to the heady heights of 12th position and breathing down the necks of 10th placed Corby and 11th placed Gloucester. The Vauxhall-Boston game is bound to favour us, whatever the result - assuming, of course, that we win. A Boston win would take us even further away from the relegation zone, a Vauxhall win would take us above Boston and a draw would take us above Boston and increase the gap between us and the danger zone. Come on Reds - and let's all start breathing a little easier.

Will miss the first half on the scoreboard due to a Gym induction. :(

Looking at the past results against this lot reckon it will be a draw, 1-1 with Kyle May scoring for us.

Perfect weather. Blowing a gale and a chance of driving rain. 3-2

Bugger. Just when I get excited after Saturday's tremendous result, here I am making contact with the soil again at a notable velocity. Unfortunately this is the Reds as we have known and loved them for years. Big result followed by home disappointment.

In other results last night:

Alty 2-2 Hinckley mmmm.......Alty win would have been better
Eastwood 1-1 Solihull probably best result
Vauxhall 0-4 Boston thanks Boston :-)

Saturday's trip to Solihull would seem to have draw written all over it but they have only drawn 2 matches at home and we have drawn only 2 away. Most important factor is to avoid defeat. Come on you Reds, we got knocked down last night, let's get back up again.

A drab afair spoiled by a blustery wind. Gainsborough deserved their win due to the fact that they made 2 less mistakes than we did.
Their two goals were both down to schoolboy and weather involvment defending, the first when Stuart Green attempting a crossfield pass to Anthony Wright in the Gainsborough half of the field. the pass was on target till it hit a tuft of earth which diverted the ball to the winger who raced down the touchline with 3 defenders after him. the ball should stilli have been cleared by other players who had got back into the goalmouth. The wind seemed to play a part in the 2nd goal causing Kyle Mays clearance to go straight to a forward who promptly hit it straight back into the net, A similar chance fell to Jonny Wright but his shot was wide if the mark. Not too dissapointed with this result and other than Hyde all our remaining matches are against teams around us in the table and we shold easily obtain the 3 or 4 wins needed for safety.

That was awful.
With the wind at their backs, the Reds started lively enough, but once Gainsborough scored there was only going to be one winner as they took control easily. Sorry, but I can't think of one positive after that.

We started brightly enough but things changed when Stuart Green got an elbow in the face and was left lying in the centre circle. It was though a Gainsborough player had said "Welcome to Non-League football Stuart".

After that he was out of things, and apart from a spell just before half time and early in the second half we never really threatened.

Disappointing, but that mustn't take away from our numerous good performances this year.

I'll take a point at Solihull now.

we had 2 chances all game they had 3, they scored. the balance of our team is still not right, gainsboro looked more solid a unit than us and deserved their win, still think we are short of a central midfield player and a commanding central defensive player. i thought we looked more as a team when rowntree came on and wrighty was moved into midfield. i think either green or arnison should start upfront with jonny, leaving the other on the bench.

We lost, so let's get over it.

I noticed something last night. We always look like conceding, and I wonder why?
Our defenders, individually and collectively seem fine....so why.
Then I realised.
Not enough support from a flagging midfield who don't get close enough to the back-line to pick up the pieces.
Remedy. Employ a defensive midfield player.

Gary Rowntree should start on Saturday, mving Wrighty into midfield, and dropping Main to the bench.

Well Red Rover- don't think that the Manager can be blamed for everything in this football universe. I'm sure he has made mistakes but who doesn't? On balance, looking over the time he has been with us he has been and continues to be a good manager- he will like us all learn from mistakes and continue to improve. The same can be said of players- they make mistakes and learn from them- provided they apply themselves to the cause 100% I'm happy with that. I'm looking forward to a good performance at Solihull- if they play without fear I'll be a happy man- I believe in these players and I'm sure we will continue to move forward and build towards next season!

On a horrible night we just were not motivated enough to compete against one of the best organised defences that has been to BP this season. They completely snuffed out both Arnie and Jonny from creating anything all match, when we did get away down the wing they were there to block most of the crosses and they were in the faces of our midfielders all match which made it difficult for us to get any flowing movements going at all. Remember, we played like that during our run to the playoffs 2 seasons ago. I thought most of our players would rather have been anywhere but on a football pitch where as Gainsborough need every point they can get if they are to make the playoffs and if that can't motivate a team nothing will.

Red Rover is right! Edmo out. We should win EVERY game at least 10 nil.

Seriously though we lost because they are better than us. No disgrace in that as there are loads of effing teams better than us starting with Man City down to at least Gainsborough. Hopefully though we are better than at least three teams in this division. When (fingers crossed) we stop up this season I think it will have been the best performance from Edmo. Winning is easy when you are winning. Turning a season round is much harder, we could have sunk in December (just like Blyth and Eastwood) but we are heading for mid table now.
